Cal Bowl in Lakewood, California on November 20, 2009, will be the site for the Los Angeles Silver Screen Invitationals (LASSI) 18th annual bowling tournament.  This year’s theme showcases the many fine athletes that have secured Olympic and Gay Games first gold medals.  Weather being the first to win a gold in an event or being the first openly-gay athlete to achieve this honor, we pay tribute to you this weekend. 

Our dedicated committee have worked extremely hard to continue our impressive reputation for tournament excellence.  Keeping in mind the current economic inclination, we are not raising the cost of the entry fees.  We also have been able to not only secure our most popular host hotel, the Marriott Long Beach-Airport, the rate per night have been reduced and offers quad occupancy.   We hope you will consider LASSI 2009: The First Golds as one of your IGBO tournament stops this year where you can bowl for the gold!
